Vanilla Frosting

This dairy-free, vegan frosting is low-fat, too!

This vanilla frosting is low fat, creamy, dairy-free and vegan, and it is incredibly easy to make. Use this to frost dairy-free cakes and dairy-free cupcakes of your choice.

Makes about 2 cups

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 0 minute

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • ½ cup soymilk powder
  • pinch of salt
  • ¼ cup and 2 T. soy yogurt, divided
  • ½ t. vanilla

Preparation:

1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, sift together the powdered sugar, soymilk powder and salt until combined. Using an electric hand mixer at a low speed setting, mix in the ¼ cup soy yogurt until the mixture resembles fine crumbs. Add the remaining 2 T. soy yogurt and vanilla and beat until thick and creamy. Chill slightly before using to frost dairy-free cakes or dairy-free cupcakes.
