Dairy-free Thanksgiving Recipes

Thanksgiving is quite possibly my favorite holiday; without the stress of gift-buying, it's a holiday that's just really about spending time and sharing food with those we love. Like many cooks, I love sharing food with people, but allergies and intolerances make it more difficult for some, both kids and adults, to partake in the festivities. These dairy-free recipes will give you some ideas for terrific ways to make meals that the whole family can enjoy.

In my family, holidays are usually several-day-long affairs, which means that there are many meals for which to prepare. While I rarely prepare a soup for the main Thanksgiving meal (there is just too much food already!), I tend to serve a warm, dairy-free soup like this Vegan Pumpkin Soup with dairy-free bread for a light, festive lunch, so everyone is fed but still has room for the courses to come.

Here are a few more fall favorites:

  • Butternut Squash Soup
  • Carrot Cumin Soup
  • Dairy-Free Cream of Potato
  • Dairy-Free Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • Spicy Tomato Soup
  • Vegan Pumpkin Curry Soup
  • Sides and Salads
