Homemade Muesli

This basic muesli recipe takes moments to prepare but keeps well in an airtight container for and easy, healthy, homemade breakfast.

Easy to make, tasty to eat, this healthy homemade cereal is a great start to any dairy-free day.

Makes about 3 1/2 cups

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • ½ cup rye flakes
  • ¾ cups raisins
  • ½ cup dried berries, such as blueberries or cranberries
  • ½ cup dried date pieces
  • ½ cup slivered almonds
  • 1/3 cup raw unsalted sunflower seeds
  • ¼ cup toasted wheat germ
  • 3 T. flax seed

Preparation:

1. Mix all of the ingredients together in a medium to large bowl. To serve, portion the muesli into individual bowls with soy yogurt or a dairy-free milk alternative along with fresh fruit and honey, agave nectar or maple syrup to taste. Muesli will keep in an airtight container for up to 2 months.

Very good!!!! well worth the effort gathering up the ingredients for this one. I will never buy store bought again. It is so simple to put together.
