I love crisps, and I love pies. And it just so happens that I really love putting them together.
I love wheat, too, don't get me wrong, but this past week I decided to go gluten-free (I'm a breast-feeding mama of a small infant at the moment, and he doesn't tolerate gluten very well just yet) and made this Dairy-Free Gluten-Free Apple Crumble Pie for the Fourth of July. It's everything I love about both crisps and pies: a flaky, rich crust with a sweet fruit filling and a crispy, crumbly, melt-in-your-mouth topping. And it's gluten-free and dairy-free as a bonus!
